Trends to try this Adelaide Fashion Festival

Stuck for inspiration? All too familiar with the old adage “a closet full of clothes and nothing to wear”? Well we are calling it early with our curated list of what’s hot to help you put together your wardrobe for the fashionable week ahead. Style one of these three key trends into your outfit now for front row fabulous that’s perfect for the 2017 Adelaide Fashion Festival presented by Mercedes-Benz Adelaide.

The Statement Shoe

We are in the mood to stand out from the crowd and the best way to do it is with a statement shoe. Flat, heeled, fancy, feminine or all out disco sparkle, channel your focus into footwear and pair back with a neutral coloured dress in chic black or white.

A Pop of Colour

If you sense a theme here, you’d be right. All eyes will be on you when you throw caution to the wind and colour block to contrast against the city streets. Bust out a millennial pink and purple combination, opt for a head-to-toe hue or mix it up and go multi. Whatever you choose, being bold is the aim of the game.

Check Mate

If it’s good enough for Balmain, embrace it. The humble gingham is out in force this season and can be worked into almost any aspect of your ensemble. Skirt, pants, dress…headband. Be creative and play with this print to mix, match and deliberately clash against the rest of your outfit.
